Characters

Yuna

Daughter of high summoner Braska, the second-to-last summoner who was able to defeat Sin 12 years ago. Like her father, she has made an amazing deed of defeating Sin 2 years ago, only this time Sin is gone for good.

With the disappearance of Sin summoners no longer needed to be sacrificed in order for people of Spira to live in peace - therefore aeons (or fayth) were no longer needed as well. Following Sin's defeat Yuna now throws away summoner job - she has chosen more advanced form of artillery... dual guns!

She joins forces with Rikku and Paine to form YRP, a group of sphere hunters. Of course, they're not the only group of sphere hunters on the face of Spira.



Rikku

Rikku!!! You cannot say she ain't cute. Always happy and careless, Rikku brings the funniest moments and scenes to the game. Back in FFX she was the Al Bhed "Let's do a party tonight!" type of girl.

Now in FFX-2, she is... still the Al Bhed "Let's do a party tonight!" type of girl! Even though she is Yuna's cousins, both are acting like if they were sisters. They are also partners, since Rikku is another member of the Gullwings.



Paine

A new character... Paine is a mysterious person. Just by looking at
her Warrior apparance you can tell she's not the type of girl you want to
mess with.

She is not the "come here babe I'll tell you a secret" gal
On contrary, you can't even trade your own secrets with her because she'll
just tell you to "bug" off. Just like Yuna and Rikku, she is also a member of
the Gullwings.



Lenne

This mysterious character has a connection to Shuin, and somehow can posess Yuna's Songstress dress . . .



Shuyin

This mysterious character was executed for trying to steal and use the Vegnagun, a destructive weapon held under Bevelle. Is he here help Yuna, or to continue his devious ways? And why does he resemble Tidus! Is there some connection . . .




The Story

The story in Final Fantasy X-2 takes place two years after the events of FFX. Yuna has been living a somewhat normal life in her hometown since the defeat of Sin, but one day Rikku arrives and shows her a video sphere that features someone that they had thought was gone forever. Yuna decides to join Rikku and a mysterious warrior known as Paine and they form a group of sphere hunters known as the Gullwings. They travel around Spira looking for valuable spheres and also to try and find out the truth about the figure that Yuna saw in the sphere. The tone of the game is much more lighthearted than previous entries in the series, but eventually the quest to find a lost friend turns into a much larger adventure that once again requires you to save the world of Spira.

Characters

Zidane Tribal

The sixteen year old hero of Final Fantasy IX is an experienced thief. Aside from stealing from the rich, he enjoys stealing hearts of ladies as his sense of charisma and boyish good looks have made him very popular among them.



Garnet

A young princess, and heir to the throne of Alexandria, Garnet is inexperienced in the ways of the world due to her sheltered upbringing. Assuming the name of Dagger, she sets off on an adventure she was ill-prepared for. Idealistic and naive in the beginning, her encounter with a certain young thief will change her perception of the world around her.



Adelbert Steiner

A 33 year-old knight in the service of the royal family of Alexandria Kingdom. Adelbert Steiner is the life long guardian of Princess Garnet Til Alexandros 17th and it is a duty he takes most seriously. He is a powerful swordsman, always striving to be a good knight.



Vivi Orunitia

Feeling like an outsider who doesn't belong in this world, this shy nine-year old black mage is going through a major identity crisis and is left feeling very depressed. He is constantly getting caught up in things, none of which he can help or control. Through his friends, he overcomes his trials and finally develops a more positive outlook towards life.



Quina Quen

Part of the Qu clan, Quina is an androgynous being whose only concerns are eating and leaving descendants on the planet. Quina's favorite food are frogs, especially when eaten raw.



Amarant Coral

A solitary vagabond who also works an an assassin for hire. Regimented in nature, Amarant spends most of his time training his body as a weapon for combat. A loner by nature, Amarant's self-reliance and unwavering focus means he trust no one and never lets outside events distract him from his goals.



Freya Crescent

A member of the mouse clan who was raised and trained by a Dragon Knight, Freya is a courageous female knight who is unwilling to compromise her beliefs. Banished from Burmecai, her home, she has roamed and seen much of the world. Proud and wise beyond her years, she tries to help Burmecia when it is attacked by Brahne despite being in exile.




Eiko Carol

After her parents passed away, Eiko was raised by summoners, magic-users with the ability to summon eidolons to do their bidding. Under their care, Eiko learned White Magic and developed a very special friendship with the Moogles. Ahthough only six years of age, Eiko is a precocious little girl with the ability to read the thoughts of eidolons and animals.



Beatrix

Beatrix is a general as well as the head of the army of Alexandria. Beatrix is famous for her sword, Save the Queen, and for her powerful ability
Little is known about Beatrix's past, only that she grew up in a middle class family in the city of Treno. Visits to Alexandria led her to like the city. After her 16th birthday, she decided to move to Alexandria and join the all-female Alexandrian army.[citation needed] This led to years of battle and intense training allowing her to become a captain and, eventually, general, heading the Alexandrian Army. During this, she got acquainted with the head of the Knights of Pluto, Captain Adelbert Steiner




Kuja

Kuja was a character created by an old man from Terra named Garland. As the time he was born was about the same as Zidane, it has resulted in many people believing that he and Zidane were brothers. He is also the guy behind Queen Brahne's attacks as he supplies her with weapons. These weapons he supplied are from Mist, which raises the aggression levels. However, Kuja is not a playable character in Final Fantasy IX. He is the bad guy!

Queen Brahne

Brahne is the obese Queen of Alexandria and adoptive mother of Garnet/Dagger. As Princess Garnet testifies several times throughout the game's story, Queen Brahne was formerly a kind and well-liked ruler of the kingdom of Alexandria




The Story

The epic tale of Final Fantasy 9 takes place in the world of Gaia, a peaceful and wonderful world. In Gaia, there are 4 ruling kingdoms: Alexandria, Lindblum, Burmecia and Cleyra. Up until you start your game, each one of these nations had been working with and helping each other through the ages. However, a strange man has been prowling Alexandria castle, and Princess Garnet's mother seems to have been acting strange as of late. Trouble is brewing.

As soon as he hears of this, Regent Cid of Lindblum hires the Tantalus performing troup/band of thieves to kidnap Garnet and bring her back to Lindblum. So it is that the rescue mission begins, as the theater ship floats towards Alexandria Bay.

Suddenly, Vivi, a friendly black mage, comes into the picture. After some careful planning, Vivi reaches the castle, where the play begins. Soon, Zidane and his friend Blank head into the castle to capture Princess Garnet, only to find that she wants to leave the castle. They chase her onto the theater ship and make a hasty getaway, with the Princess' reluctant bodyguard, Captain Steiner, onboard.

After being pummelled by Queen Brahne's cannons and bomb, the theater ship still makes it out of Alexandria, although badly damaged. It does not go far, however, and eventually lands in the Evil Forest. The company barely escapes this petrifying forest, and goes through many a trouble along the way to a safe haven. Finally, they reach Lindblum, where Regent Cid awaits...

Characters

Squall Leonhart

Squall is the main protagonist of FF8. Starting off in Balamb Garden, he has what is called a gunblade. After getting injured in a sparring session with his gunblade counter part, Seifer, the game begins with him in the Garden Hospital. He is very cold, silent, and at many times unemotional. Throughout the game, his demeanor and attitude changes drastically, as he finds out his history and who he is.


Rinoa Heartilly

Rinoa is the other main protagonist, but we meet her on the SeeD's first project, as she is the leader of a rebel group against the Galbadian president, named the Forest Owls. Rinoa is very sensitive, and caring, and has a bit of mysterious undertow around her. Be prepared for many surprises concerning her character, and also her very interesting relationship with Squall.



Quistis Trepe

Quistis is a SeeD instructor at Balamb Garden, and interesting enough, one of the youngest and quickest to obtain that position. She uses a chain whip, and can be a very powerful character if used correctly. Her beauty created a little following called, "The Trepies." She lacks stern demeanor and is not really the teaching type, but she's always supporting Squall, and throughout the game seems like she really likes him, and appreciates his skills



Zell Dincht

Zell is very emotional and somewhat immature. He gets jeered a lot by Seifer, and seems to be very temperamental. He uses martial arts and combos. His impulsive reactions tend to get him in trouble and undermine correct decisions, but nonetheless, he's a very important character in combat. His hometown is in the city of Balamb, and is where his mother currently lives. Try playing cards with her!



Selphie Timmett

Selphie is a transfer student from another garden called Trabia. She's outgoing and sincere, and very sweet. She is running the festival at Balamb Garden. She uses the nonchaku. I didn't find much use from her in battle, but she's a very interesting character.



Irvine Kinneas

Irvine uses a gun, and we find him as a sharpshooter for Galbadia Garden when the gang and the forest owls go after President Deling. He is very good around the ladies, but is bad under pressure. I like Irvine quite a bit, and he could be a great asset to your team.



Laguna Loire

Laguna is one of three characters present in a dreamsequence, first happening on the train ride to Timber to meet up with the Forest Owls. It seems to be a past episode. Laguna is a strong leader in these dream sequences, and uses a machine gun. He's part of the Galbadian Army. He's a little tense around the woman he likes, the piano player, Julia.



Kiros Seagill

Not much is known about Kiros, but he's a real good friend of Laguna, and also a partner of his in the Galbadian Army. He's very caring and witty.



Ward Zabac

Ward is absolutely huge. He uses a very heavy weapon, called the harpoon. He's the third of the Laguna dream trio. He has unwavering dedication to his friends.



Seifer Almasy

Seifer is the other man at Balamb GArden with a gunblade, and also the one who injured Squall during a sparring session. He's the leader of a Disciplinary committee at the Garden, along with his two misfits, Raijin and Fujin. He's arrogant, and dislikes his position, and feels ungratified for what he supposedly does. His jealousy of Squall also gets him into a problem, as he becomes that not only to himself, but to Squall and everyone else. Pay attention to his history with Rinoa.



Edea

Edea we meet as a sorceress, but it is eventually gone from her, and she becomes playable briefly. She's very important to the storyline of the game, and also is a part of a very interesting history with everyone. Initially, she was on the "dark side" working with President Deling.



The Story

While calm in appearance, the serenity that blankets the world is merely a curtain over the turmoil that threatens to surface... An unprovoked attack against a neighboring country, an assault by a strike team deep into enemy territory, and a declaration of war against the world plunges a previously peaceful existence into bitterness and chaos. Thrust into the ensuing madness is a young man named Squall Leonhart, a cadet in the Garden military academy of Balamb. A lone wolf by the standards of others, Squall's relentless drive to become the best leads him into SeeD, an elite mercenary unit. His final test as a graduating cadet of SeeD is to settle the growing hostilities between the neighboring countries of Galbadia and Dollet. What was already a confusing set of events takes a turn for the worst when Galbadia begins its invasion on the rest of the world. For Squall, the turmoil of the world around him is nothing compared to the turmoil inside of him; his encounter with a free-spirited young woman named Rinoa Heartilly has turned his well-ordered universe upside down. As an intense man who thrives in the regimented discipline of the military academy, Squall finds Rinoa's carefree attitude fascinating. Yet there is no time to ponder these thoughts, for Galbadia's irrational hostility has been linked to a sorceress named Edea, a powerful magic user. The job of dealing with this new threat has fallen to Squall and the rest of SeeD. Focused on this new task, they can only ponder what the future will hold.

Cloud

Birthday: August 19th
Birthplace: Nibelheim
Height: 5'7"
Weapon Type: Swords

Bio:
The main character of Final Fantasy VII, Cloud grew up with Tifa in Nibelheim. He aspired to become a member of the elite Shinra group of Soldier and be just like Sephiroth. He failed in his mission and met Zack. Him and Zack were with each other for a while, going through many hardships until they got to Midgar. He then joined a group called Avalanche who rebelled against Shinra. His rival is Sephiroth and his main goal is to destroy him. He holds a giant blade at all times and is strong enough to be able to swiftly move the blade.


Barret

Birthday: December 15th
Birthplace: Corel Village
Height: 6'4"
Weapon Type: Guns augments on his right arm.

Bio:
Barret was born and raised in the mining village of Corel. When Shinra wanted to build a reactor there, the people refused but had to accept. When Shinra believed that the people were abusing the reactor, they set out for destruction. Barret lost his right arm in a skirmish with Shinra troops and after that, he had a gun put on the arm for his revenge on Shinra and started a group called Avalanche which was hell bent on destroying Shinra.


Tifa

Birthday: May 3rd
Birthplace: Nibelheim
Height: 5'4"
Weapon Type: Gloves and Knuckles

Bio:
Tifa grew up with Cloud, they were close at times, but a lot of other boys were around her most of the time so they could never really get together. After Cloud left, Tifa became really sad and eventually left Nibelheim to go the Midgar. There she joined the group Avalanche and started up a bar called 7th Heaven in Sector 7.



Aeris

Birthday: February 22th
Birthplace: Icicle Village
Height: 5'3"
Weapon Type: Rods

Aeris was born secretly in the Icicle Village and was soon taken by Shinra to Midgar. Her and her mother escaped to the Sector 5 slums. There, Aeris lives with Elmyra in her house. The Turks kept trying to capture her as she was the last of the Cetra race and valuable to Shinra, but she kept eluding them. She is the best magic user in the game.



Red XIII

Birthplace: Cosmo Canyon

Bio:
Actually a teenager still in his years, Red XIII grew up protecting Cosmo Canyon and believing his father was a traitor. He got captured by Shinra and became a research specimen. He was eventually saved by Cloud and the group and also found the truth about his father. His grandfather, Bugenhagen, is human, which makes no sense but who's to argue.



Cait Sith

Birthday: Unknown
Birthplace: Shinra Headquarters
Height: 3'2"
Weapon Type: Megaphone

Bio:
Cait Sith was a fortuneteller in Gold Saucer when it met Cloud and the group. Reeve, Shinra's Head of Urban Development, created it to spy of Cloud and the group. It eventually earned it's keep and became a permanent member of the group, though quite useless.



Cid Highwind

Birthday: February 22nd
Birthplace: Unknown
Height: 5'8"
Weapon Type: Spear

Bio:
Cid was going to be the first man in space on Shinra's No. 26 rocket. When Shera screwed up his rocket plan, she decided to let Cid live with her in Rocket Town. Cid is a tense man who swears a lot. He is the creator of such airships as the Highwind and Tiny Bronco.

Yuffie

Birthday: November 20th
Birthplace: Wutai
Height: 5'2"
Weapon Type: Boomerang and Shuriken type weapons

Bio:
Yuffie is usually the first secret character you encounter. Found in most forests, you can encounter her even before going to Junon for the first time. She was raised in Wutai, where she became a mischievous thief and left Wutai to try and find materia strong enough to save Wutai from the tourism that Shinra had brought. It gets very interesting when she first returns home with Cloud and the group.



Vincent

Birthday: October 13th
Birthplace: Possibly Midgar
Height: 6'0"
Weapon Type: Firearms

Bio:
Very mysterious, the second secret character you find sleeps in Nibelheim. A former Turk, Vincent was in love with Lucrecia, until an accident occurred which resulted in Vincent sentencing himself to life sleeping. Not much is known about his past, but he does swear revenge on Sephiroth and Shinra.



The Story

The story first takes place in the city of Midgar which is also known as the city on a plate. It's a city full of machinery and scrap dumps. Midgar is governed and maintained by a powerful organization called Shinra. The power plants that provide Midgar with electricity suck energy from the "mako" energy from the earth. Mako energy is the source of life for this planet and these power plants are slowly sucking that life away. Residents of Midgar are aware of this conspiracy and organize a retaliation against Shinra and their power plants, they called this organization Avalanche. Avalanche goes through several attempts to break down Shinra and destroy their power plants. During these attempts; tragedies occur like the kidnapping of a special girl and the destruction of one whole part of Midgar in an attempt to suppress the retaliation. Shocking events take place when Avalanche invades the main Shinra building. They escape Midgar and explore the world continuing the try to stop Shinra and to find a mad killer that the main character has a strange relation with. These characters find others that join them in their cause and go through several other adventures reaching their final goal. Many unexpected events take place and aspects of the plot slowly unfold revealing the twisted truth behind everything. What does Shinra have in store for Avalanche? Who is that mad killer and why is the main character so obsessed with him? Why does Shinra want one of the main characters so bad? What is it that a typical girl has that a giant organization would want so desperately? Will Avalanche ever be able to stop Shinra once and for all? Or is Shinra really the one that Avalanche should be going after to reach their goal?
